I was born and raised in Hawaii and I have been a registered nurse specializing in Operating Room nursing for most of my adult life. Twenty-six of those years were spent in the Panama Canal Zone/Republic of Panama.

With my career demands I was not able to pursue my artistic interests until moving to Florida. I began taking watercolor classes at the Visual Arts Center with Kathy Bostwick seven years ago, and have attended numerous workshops with other instructors such as Helga Flower and Liz Hutchinson.

As I progress, I find myself doing more abstract realism and non-objective abstracts, which I find challenging and very rewarding.

I am currently a member of the Arts and Humanities Council, The Charlotte County Art Guild, and an associate of the Florida Watercolor Society.

Giclees

In addition to original paintings, giclee prints of original art are now also available at Sea Grape. Giclees are high quality digital reproductions of paintings printed on archival paper or canvas, using archival inks.  Giclees faithfully capture the beauty of the original work, and are fade resistant and long lasting.  Giclees are usually printed in limited editions, and are signed and numbered by the artist.  These prints have become increasingly popular at galleries as an economical alternative for the consumer. Since giclees can be printed individually as needed, and are available in different sizes and prices, customers are able to obtain an image that exactly suits their decor needs. Several of Sea Grape's two-dimensional artists have  giclee prints of their artwork available in specially marked bins, so stop in and browse!
