Ray Stoy was born & raised in Vancouver, Canada. His formal education was at The Academy of Art in Vancouver and The Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California where he was awarded the BPA degree with Distinction. He also studied at the Art Students League in New York City & with painters, Charles Reid, Robert Baxter, Barbara Nechis, Max Muller and Robert Wade,
Ray has received many Design Patents, Design & Painting awards. As an Industrial Designer in New York City he has designed Consumer Logos, Packages, Corporate Identity, Products such as Radios, Cameras, Electronic Equipment Outboard Motors, Mack Trucks, Greyhound Busses, Aircraft Interiors, and co-designed the BMW-507 auto that is now a classic. Ray created the Faberge Logo & the Coca-Cola Ribbon that is still used World Wide. Ray was Director of Packaging for a Fortune 500 Company in New York City when he retired and Moved to Florida to paint. Ray is an Avid Six- Wicket Croquet player & Regularly plays in the USCA SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS. His watercolor & Acrylic painting are scenes of his travels painted in a realistic style. Ray has exhibited in Juried shows in New York, Florida and Connecticut & in Galleries in South Carolina, Michigan, St. Thomas USVI & Florida. He is a member of The Florida Watercolor Society and an associate member of American Watercolor Society.
