Judy Quest

A talented, award-winning artist, Judy Quest resides in Punta Gorda, Florida with her husband Jack and her Indian Ringneck Parrot, KoKo, where she pursues her love of art. Her inspiration, derived from within herself as well as the world around her, can be seen in her work with oil, pastels and watercolors. Striving to emote strong feelings, Judy blends layers of color, adding subtle textures and details to create a sense of mood and drama. Her paintings are truly distinctive and memorable.

Retiring from teaching in 2000, Judy began painting full-time. Having received her early training from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York, she continues her professional growth by participating in workshops with artists whose work she admires. She believes that artistic talent evolves from the inner creative self and progressive enhancement of artistic skills from painting.

Giclees

In addition to original paintings, giclee prints of original art are now also available at Sea Grape. Giclees are high quality digital reproductions of paintings printed on archival paper or canvas, using archival inks.  Giclees faithfully capture the beauty of the original work, and are fade resistant and long lasting.  Giclees are usually printed in limited editions, and are signed and numbered by the artist.  These prints have become increasingly popular at galleries as an economical alternative for the consumer. Since giclees can be printed individually as needed, and are available in different sizes and prices, customers are able to obtain an image that exactly suits their decor needs. Several of Sea Grape's two-dimensional artists have  giclee prints of their artwork available in specially marked bins, so stop in and browse!
